Maxime Raynaud broke a tie with two free throws with 32 seconds left, then teamed with Oziyah Sellers for three more foul shots in the final 16 seconds, allowing Stanford to stave off a furious California rally for a 66-61 home win on Saturday night.Raynaud finished with 20 points and a team-high-tying eight rebounds for Stanford (17-10, 9-7 Atlantic Coast Conference). The Cardinal swept the two-game season series from the rival Golden Bears (12-15, 5-11) in each’s first season competing in the league.Jeremiah Wilkinson had a team-high 19 points and Andrej Stojakovic, playing his first game at Stanford after transferring to Cal last offseason, added 16 for Cal, which lost its fourth straight.After holding Cal to just 12 points over the final 14 minutes of the first half and building a 47-30 advantage in the eighth minute of the second period, Stanford found itself in a 61-all tie when Stojakovic converted a three-point play with 42 seconds left.Raynaud then drew his key foul 10 seconds later, hitting his sixth and seventh foul shots of the night.Stojakovic had a chance to draw Cal even on its next possession but saw a contested interior bank shot roll off and into the arms of Raynaud, who this time made one of two to complete an 8-for-10 night at the line.Wilkinson was given Cal’s one final shot at a tie, but he misfired on a 3-point attempt with 4 seconds left. Sellers then completed the scoring with two foul shots.
